Our client is at the forefront of residential construction, specializing in high-efficiency, sustainable new builds. We're expanding our team and seeking a dynamic Gas and Water Engineer who is passionate about integrating innovative heating and plumbing solutions into modern homes.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Gas and Water Engineer to join our team, focusing on new build housing projects. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing gas, water, and heating systems, with a particular emphasis on air source heat pumps. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install and commission gas, water, and heating systems in new build properties.
2. Specialise in the installation of air source heat pumps, ensuring optimal performance and integration with existing systems.
3. Conduct thorough testing and fault diagnosis to ensure all systems are safe and compliant with current regulations.
4. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project timelines are met.
5. Provide technical advice on system design and efficiency to project managers and clients.
6. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Gas Engineering (Corgi/Gas Safe registered).
2. Experience in working on new build projects is essential.
3. MCS accreditation or willingness to obtain for air source heat pump installations.
4. Proficiency with air source heat pump technology and a commitment to renewable energy solutions.
5. Excellent understanding of building regulations, particularly Part L and F.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Full UK driving license due to the nature of site visits.
