Job Title: Community Coach (Women & Girls)
Reports to: Partnership Manager
Location: Middlesex Indoor Cricket School and the 17 boroughs of Middlesex
Contract Term: 1-year fixed term, Full Time
Working Days: Monday-Friday, 5 days per week
Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a Community Coach (Women & Girls) to join our team. You will be part of the Middlesex in the Community team who work in one of the most vibrant cities in the world: London! We deliver participation focused cricket, working with local schools, youth groups, community engagement programmes and charities to allow everyone to take part in the game. We are a charity that embraces difference, pushes the boundaries on what can be achieved and wants to lead on the world stage. We believe in the power of sport, in its ability to unify communities, develop people and improve environments so that everyone can take part and thrive in cricket!
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties:
* Support with the organisation and delivery of female cricket competitions across Middlesex
* To deliver on all Middlesex in the Community female-only Street Cricket programmes
* Support with the delivery of SEND schools programmes, championing further opportunities for female participants outside of school programmes
* Support with activation of Swyncombe Avenue as it becomes a hub for female cricket in Middlesex
* Support with delivery across Middlesex in the Community programmes, including Chance to Shine Schools, Street Cricket, National Programmes & Lord's Taverners programmes.
* Support with the development and delivery of our Women & Girls strategy, connecting initiatives and programmes with traditional club opportunities
* Identify and attend any relevant training opportunities for yourself and the wider Community Coaching Team in relation to Women & Girls’ Cricket
* Assist with the development of cricket in Middlesex's 17 boroughs according to Middlesex in the Community's Strategy
* Any ad-hoc duties as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Disclosure and Barring System Check (assistance available)
* Safeguarding Young Cricketers Certificate (assistance available)
* Ability to travel by public transport to various locations.
* Ability to work to individual and team targets.
* Adopt a positive Customer Service approach
* Ability to communicate with key stakeholders and customers
* Motivated and committed to personal development

Please be aware that there will be two stages to the interview, candidates would need to be available for both – A panel interview to discuss your experience and the role via Teams on Wednesday 5th of March 2025, followed by a practical interview to be held on either Friday 7th or Saturday 8th of March 2025. The exact date, location and times of the practical element will be confirmed in the interview invite.
