Student Assistant - Innovation & Research Commons Help Desk
Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant to assist faculty and staff with daily library operations in the Innovation & Research Commons (I&RC).

Essential Functions:
* Provide direct service to library patrons at the I&RC Help Desk, which includes checking in/out technology equipment, answering questions, and directing patrons as needed.
* Set up wide-format printing for patrons.
* Help keep the area tidy.
* Help patrons use and perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, including but not limited to: PC and Mac desktop computers, laserjet printers, wide-format inkjet printers, and flatbed and large-format scanners/plotters.
* Help patrons locate microforms and operate microform reader/printers.
* Inventory and create lists of technology lending equipment.
* Inventory I&RC book collection.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Enrolled student at Auburn University
* Report for the shift on time.
* Interest in public service and delivery of quality customer service.
* Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students.
* Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
* Dependability, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Pay Rate: $9.00/hour
Work Hours: Students will work up to 20 hours per week depending on availability and department needs.
