Support Worker/Health Care Assistant - Neuro Rehab

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker/Health Care Assistant for our Neuro Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping individuals recovering from neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other cognitive impairments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to implement tailored rehabilitation plans that promote independence and enhance the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will involve providing daily support with personal care, mobility, and social activities, as well as encouraging engagement in therapeutic exercises and programs. A key aspect of this role is to help clients rebuild skills and confidence in a supportive environment, fostering their ability to lead fulfilling lives. Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Support clients in daily living activities and mobility assistance.
Implement and monitor rehabilitation exercises as directed by the healthcare team.
Encourage and engage clients in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.
Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs to promote overall well-being.
Requirements
Relevant qualification in health and social care or equivalent experience.
Previous experience working with individuals with neurological conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature when supporting clients.
Basic first aid certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Hours Per Week:
Start Time: 07:30
End Time: 20:00
Pay Per Hour: £11.44
Location: Newmains, Wishaw
