The Lettings Team is seeking to appoint a Housing Needs Officer to help support and advise applicants in urgent housing need.
The successful candidate will ensure applicants can understand and actively participate in the lettings process. A focus of the role will be proactive engagement with applicants with multiple needs, those who may otherwise struggle to find suitable accommodation without assistance.
The postholder will investigate and assess complex housing applications, working with the applicant and their support agencies to understand their needs and ensure they are correctly prioritized for rehousing. There is also a strong link with our Housing Options (homelessness) Service, with this post ensuring a seamless transition from one service to the other.
The postholder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must also be an excellent problem solver, a person who can think creatively to find solutions to complex issues.
For further information or to discuss the post contact Mrs Caroline Greasley on 01623 608894
