COURT OF PROTECTION CASE WORKER (PARALEGAL ROLE)
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £35,000 dependent on experience
Role Overview:
An established specialist firm, recognised for its expertise in Court of Protection and Private Client services, is looking for a Court of Protection Case Worker to join their growing team. The role involves working closely with clients, their families, and carers, helping those who are vulnerable due to conditions such as brain injuries or dementia. Key responsibilities include managing clients' property and financial affairs, assisting with budgeting, paying bills, and other practical tasks. The firm offers a hybrid working model with at least one day per week in the office.
Candidate Profile/Experience Needed:
1. Experience in financial management, including budgeting and timely invoice payments
2. Previous experience as a Court of Protection paralegal or similar role
3. Understanding of the needs of vulnerable clients, especially those with brain injuries or dementia
4. Excellent communication and negotiating skills, particularly over the phone
5. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
6. Proficient IT skills, with experience in case management systems
7. Ability to meet a chargeable hours target of 5 hours per day
