Job Description
Start here. Grow here.
Are you ready to shape the future of water infrastructure?
We're looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our growing Water Solutions team in St Albans, Croydon, or Basingstoke. In this role, you'll support the delivery of Southern Water's £3.7 billion capital delivery programme, working on projects ranging from small rural sites to multi-million-pound schemes, covering both water and wastewater (Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure). The frameworks run for seven and five years, respectively, with the option to extend for an additional 5 years.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute to two major frameworks as part of this investment:
1. Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Framework: Supporting our Tier 1 Contractor on Lot 1 (non-infrastructure water projects) and Lot 2 (non-infrastructure wastewater projects).
2. Low Complexity Delivery Route Lot 2 (Wastewater Infrastructure) Framework and Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Lot 3 Infrastructure Framework: Partnering exclusively with a Tier 1 contractor to deliver sustainable, high-quality water and wastewater solutions.
Working flexibly from Southern UK locations, you'll visit client sites in and around Brighton and collaborate with teams across multi-year frameworks. As part of our thriving business, you'll take on rewarding multi-disciplinary projects from inception to delivery, creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities. By joining AECOM, you'll be provided with a comprehensive benefit package, including competitive pay, highly rated healthcare, a company pension, and a Sharesave scheme!
Here's what you'll do:
* Process Equipment Design: Lead the design of process equipment, ensuring systems are efficient, reliable, and meet the needs of our clients.
* Documentation & Specifications: Generate and review essential engineering documents such as PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and Mass/Energy balances to ensure the highest technical standards.
* Technical Writing: Create and refine technical and tender specifications that are clear, precise, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
* Decision Making & Troubleshooting: Take a proactive approach to problem-solving, making key decisions and troubleshooting process issues to ensure smooth project execution.
* Safety Reviews: Actively participate in safety reviews, including HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and HAZID (Hazard Identification) assessments, to ensure that our designs meet the highest safety standards.
* Process Safety Documents: Prepare critical documents such as Hazardous Area Classification and Layer of Protection Analysis (LoPA) to ensure process safety throughout all project stages.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and contribute to the successful delivery of each project.
If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Join our team, where we don't just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives.
