Equans is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on our contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week, between the hours 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday. There is also an on-call rota. On offer is a salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
* Perform the complete range of Mechanical Technician tasks as required or directed by management
* Be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory
* Understand the operation of water systems and to correctly apply this knowledge and understand during the performance of Estates Services maintenance and testing activities
* Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision
* Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions
* Maintain records and logbooks, ensuring they are kept up to date and available for inspection
* Record information as required for the operation of Maximo or similar system
* Carry out on call duties as part of a rota

Who are we looking for?
* Previous experience of working within a health care environment (desirable)
* NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing
* NVQ or C&G Level 3 Heating/Vent/Plumbing (desirable)
* Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training
* HTM 04 RP/CP training (desirable)
* Gas Safe qualifications (desirable)
* Valid driving licence
* Prepared to work out of hours as necessary
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
