(b15de) We are looking to recruit a committed support worker to enable a 10-year-old girl, who has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, to access the community on a 1:1 basis away from her parents and sibling.
This young girl is a lively individual who is looking for somebody to build a rapport with her, understand the difficulties she faces accessing the community and be able to understand her needs and emotions in an appropriate manner.
As with most children she may need encouragement to access things she doesn’t necessary choose or want to do. An individual with the ability to support her manage these situations would be preferred.
Her favourite activities include:
· playing chase games (although at a much slower pace to others)
· role play I.e. shopping etc she also loves to go shopping for real and help to put things in the basket and scan the shopping etc.
Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour
A car driver with business use insurance and a car able to hold a wheelchair in the boot is a necessity.
Hours Breakdown:
· 5 hours per week to be used flexibility to meet the needs of the child
· Additional 5 hours to be used per school holiday week
· Support could be evenings after school or on weekends
· Days can be flexibly week by week but will be agreed in advance Services
