GSL Hull's offfice are working closley with an Alternative Provision to locate a 1:1 teaching assistants. GSL Education Hull Branch are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a school in East Riding on a full-time basis, with positions starting from November. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve providing personalized support, assisting with classroom activities, and ensuring that each student’s individual needs are met. Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities Individual Support: Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs, tailoring your approach to meet their unique requirements. Classroom Assistance: Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Personal Care: Support students with personal care needs, ensuring their well-being and comfort throughout the school day. Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support students in developing social and emotional skills. Resource Preparation: Help prepare learning materials and resources to support teaching and learning activities. Progress Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and recording student progress, contributing to the planning and assessment process. Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Requirements Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is highly desirable. You should have a solid understanding of additional needs such as Autism, Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. EXCELLENT behaviour management skills is a MUST.
