Morgan McKinley is proud to be working with a SME business in Lutterworth, that will be relocating to Rugby in a couple of months. Our Client is looking for a highly organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their intimate finance team. This is a full-time onsite role and you will have the chance to work within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately process and record invoices, credit notes, and employee expenses.
2. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3. Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
4. Support month-end closing activities, including ledger reconciliations.
5. Maintain accurate, up-to-date purchase ledger records.
6. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure adherence to financial procedures and compliance.
Candidate Profile:
1. Proficient in data entry with experience in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
2. Strong analytical skills for financial data and account reconciliation.
3. Knowledge of Sage is essential; familiarity with Xero is a plus.
4. At least 3 years of experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable role (candidates with solid purchase ledger knowledge and less than 3 years' experience may be considered).
5. Understanding of financial processes related to purchasing transactions.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Salary & Benefits:
Pay: Up to £28,000 per year
