The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee and continually improve the Mobile Security Team (MST) and Store Detective (SD) provision in our retail security contract, as well as supporting the wider contract management team in utilising data generated by our teams, customers shared data, and other information available to us to shape our service delivery.
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
1. Ensure service levels delivered adhere to our contract terms and client SLA's with preparation of detailed reporting packs for monthly KPI reviews.
2. Ensure protection of client personnel, assets, brand and profit via selection and deployment of best practice processes and motivated and highly trained personnel.
3. Ensure sufficient levels of qualified and competent staff are maintained to meet the current and projected future levels of personnel required.
4. Identify and introduce appropriate and agreed innovation or improvements in line with client's expectations and vision.
5. Identify and introduce ways to improve service delivery that improve cost base and enhance customer/stakeholder satisfaction.
6. Ensure all officers are deployed in line with the rigours of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 in terms of aligned licensing and training for officers and issues of screening for matters of safeguarding.
7. Ensure all officers have safe systems of work for all tasks undertaken which are communicated and understood by all team members and documented as being so.
8. Communicate Health and Safety processes and policies to all staff and ensure they remain adequately trained including contract specific training.
9. Direct staff and monitor performance via an effective performance review process and managing any staff performance issues promptly and in line with HR guidelines.
10. Prepare monthly financial information for invoicing.
11. Prepare and sign off all POs in line with company procedures.
12. Establish and encourage proactive working relationships with the key client stakeholders and local community.
13. Prepare and deliver weekly reports and monthly KPI packs for the client.
14. Assist with the compilation of the monthly P&L.
15. All Supervisors receive performance reviews.
The ideal candidate
1. SIA Licensed
2. Good understanding of the UK Security industry
3. Previous recruitment experience
4. Previous people management experience
5. Knowledge and experience of dealing with physical and electronic security methods and measures
6. Knowledge of security patrol systems
7. A good people manager, able to motivate and optimise outputs from team members.
8. Keen commercial skills with the ability to understand and control a P&L.
9. Ideally hold full UK Driving Licence
10. Flexibility around working hours and patterns, with some weekends required.
11. Location Agile, Hunts Cross Office with requirement to travel across North West and Midlands/North Wales as operationally required.
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.
This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
