Libertatem Healthcare Group is seeking a female Cerebral Palsy Support Worker to join their team in Caldicot, Monmouthshire. The role involves providing comprehensive care and support to a young female client with complex needs, including cerebral palsy and brain injury. The successful candidate will have previous experience in similar roles, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Main duties of the job
The Cerebral Palsy Support Worker will be responsible for supporting and engaging with the client's personalized routines, including the use of hoists. They will assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and mobility, administer medication, and monitor the client's health conditions. The role also involves providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Caldicot, Monmouthshire.
Our client is a lady in her 20's who lives at home with her parents, in a self-contained interconnecting bungalow from the main house. She enjoys crafts, music, swimming, and baking. She also attends hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
Due to the client's support needs and preference, the successful candidate will need to be female with previous experience working with complex needs and brain injury/cerebral palsy and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship.
Pay: £16.50 per hour days & £17.60 per hour nights.
Hours: Bank (Likely shifts to cover: 09:30 - 17:00 days & 21:00 - 08:00/09:00 nights, Monday – Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting and engaging with personalized routines inclusive of hoists.
* Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
