Scotch Governance team contribute to a step change in Process Safety and Electrical Compliance across the Scotch category. As part of a newly formed team, theElectrical Compliance Manager will work closely with operational teams on sites across Scotch. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic people person who l likes structure but thrives on working with diverse teams to drive improvement This would be an excellent development role and a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge and experience across Scotch, The role of the Compliance Manager (Electrical) - Scotch, is to provide expertise and judgement on key operational electrical engineering issues. Responsible for evaluating and making engineering and other technical judgements on the safety and production implications, arising from site operational issues. Reporting to the Scotch Senior Health & Safety Manager, the role holder, in collaboration with the Technical Specialists, provides recommendations and mentorship to ensure all sites are electrically compliant in accordance with current legislation and Diageo Global and Scotch Technical standards.,
* Working closely with site operations and functional support teams to ensure understanding of, and compliance with, Global Technical and Engineering standards.
* Technical approval for Scotch ORA, MoC and other Electrical engineering decisions and monitoring developments in relevant new and existing industry codes and standards.
* Stewardship of the electrical field aspects of Chapters 3 and 4 of Safety report (MAH and Controls) and communication of company standards and philosophies to relevant internal and external collaborators.
* Setting, maintaining, and assuring safety and environmentally critical equipment (SECE) performance standards.
* The responsibilities for ongoing monitoring and assurance of performance of specific SECE
* Defining training and competency requirements for roles responsible for operations and maintenance of equipment.
* Supervising legislative compliance through periodic inspection of operations, projects, and contractors.
* Provide technical support to operations in terms of: HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, Functional Safety Management, Operational Risk Assessments, Electrical Isolation Standards, Incident Investigation, Barrier Assessment and Health monitoring

Essential
* HNC or Degree level in Electrical & Process Control Engineering or similar
* Knowledge of the regulations and associated ACOP, guidance and recognised good practice.
* Firm understanding of Legal requirements such as Electrical Safety, COMAH, PUWER, Machinery Safety, Functional Safety (SIL), DSEAR, HV / LV and hazardous area working.
* Proficient in the use of standard business (MS Office).
* Full UK Driving License is required.
Desirable
* Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH) (preferred not essential)
Experience
* Demonstrated Experience record in a FMCG production or manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of 3 years proven experience in an Electrical role
