Catering Assistant
Job description
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with food preparation and presentation for catering events/school meals.
2. Set up and break down event spaces, including tables and chairs.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering equipment and supplies.
4. Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of food.
5. Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth operations during events.
6. Ability to commute.
Skills:
1. Previous experience in a school hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
2. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations (preferred).
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. Food and hygiene certificate (must have, can be completed through the job post).

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
Schedule:
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
* No weekends
Experience:
* School catering: 1 year (preferred)
* Catering: 1 year (not essential but nice to have)
