Business Development Manager, Bespoke Screenprinted textiles - West London
High profile boutique designer / manufacturer of bespoke printed textiles and wallcoverings for major Brands and high profile commissions for palaces, embassies, private houses and hotels, seeks a dynamic & well connected Business Development Manager to shape & drive the growth of their highly invested & diverse Screen & Digital print manufacturing operation.
With the flexibility to produce bespoke limited editions as well as high volume production, they offer a range of services spanning Studio, Screen making, Fabric preparation/finishing/storage, Hand and Machine Screen Printing and Large Format Digital Printing.
You must have proven Sales or Client development experience within a fast-paced Screen &/or Large Format Digital Print organisation, ideally combined with demonstrable experience/understanding of the interior textiles, fabrics & wallpapers arena within various markets, including the fashion, promotional, display and novelty industries. You will have a naturally enthusiastic, confident & communicative personality, able to demonstrate an obvious ability to instigate & drive multiple channels of Sales growth opportunities, delivering a consistent brand proposition that engages & builds both the Client relationship & also maximises the opportunity for onward Business & account growth
Role purpose:
* To develop, own and execute a strategic sales plan in order to realise the Company’s future growth objectives. Working to understand existing Clients, whilst researching and developing new business opportunities.
* Work closely with the Customer Services/Account management team, in order to consistently deliver Business growth and an exceptional level of customer care.
Key responsibilities:
A key member of the leadership team and reporting to the Managing Director, your remit will encompass;
* Develop and deliver a sales strategy in line with business objectives.
* Originate and agree sales and gross profit targets.
* Directly manage and enhance relationships with new Clients, ensuring the potential demands for an increased product portfolio aligned with the technical / manufacturing infrastructure.
* Identify, research, develop new markets and products, shaping an approach to secure and deliver sustainable profitable growth.
* Motivate and empower the Client Services team.
Must Have Skills:
* Proven aptitude for intelligent New Business acquisition, encompassing research, approach, present, close, convert, implementation & retention.
* Commercially sound (robust price and margin management)
* Strategic direction and able to work closely with a good management team (not a lone ranger)
* Strong Communication / Presentation Skills
* Energy, ambition, passion & ethos that engages people at all levels
You can be based anywhere in the UK as this role will operate effectively from a remote/hybrid base, but it will be essential that you develop a strong presence, connectivity & influence with the Managing Director and the Customer Service & Production teams based from their West London HQ. It is imperative that you possess a genuine track record of market understanding, connectivity & success in their specialist arenas, where your talent, entrepreneurial mindset and very clear focus on delivering new business relationships will drive results & a sustained impact on the current and future success of the business and the people within it.
