As a Senior Digital Specialist - Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional support to our digital users across Scotland. Through both scheduled and ad-hoc visits, you’ll ensure systems run smoothly and build positive, productive relationships throughout our organization. This role offers a wide variety of responsibilities with opportunities to contribute directly to digital projects, making a tangible impact on our service delivery.
What you’ll do
1. Conduct regular and ad-hoc visits to Scottish Water sites, including remote areas such as the Highlands and Islands, with accommodation provided for longer trips as required.
2. Provide on-site technical support to maintain and enhance our digital systems, including setting up computers, mobile devices, and user accounts.
3. Maintain positive relationships with users, upholding high standards of customer service, and promote digital health and safety compliance across sites.
4. Ensure all locations meet our digital capability standards and manage unused IT equipment.
5. Assist other teams with tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to Scottish Water’s collective success.
What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate will be capable, diligent, and dedicated to providing outstanding digital support. You should have proven hands-on experience in IT or digital support, and be technically proficient in areas including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and troubleshooting modern desktop environments such as Windows 10/11. A strong understanding of end-user computing and familiarity with business applications is essential.
Confident, polite, and an effective communicator, you’ll bring a sincere passion for excellent customer service, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively are essential for this role.

The not-so-small print
This role will be a Grade 7 with a starting salary of £41000, with performance-driven pay progression up to £51970. Applications will be accepted until the 27th November 2024.
In November 2024, we are moving to a 35hr week to support employee wellbeing and work/life balance.
