We are looking for:
The incumbent will be a member of the supplier Quality Engineering team. Provides technical and project management oversight of European suppliers. Improves supplier quality, reduces cost of poor quality and minimizes quality risks that could result in lost revenue, high consequence quality escapes or negative impact to Solvay reputation. The incumbent will assist suppliers in driving RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) activities to improve supplier quality performance and conduct supplier audits to ensure product and process compliance. The incumbent will manage key customer communication in the supplier quality space and act as a strategic business partner for supply chain, procurement and operations counterparts.
We count on you for:
* Assist in developing a multi-year strategic road map for supplier quality improvement.
* Serve as a focal for direct communication with key/strategic customers.
* Provide project management leadership to develop execution plans, drive these improvement efforts to fruition and communicate to Sr. Leadership as required.
* Lead/facilitate APQP methods and techniques to ensure Customer key characteristics for a product/process are known and the corresponding process control variables are controlled. This may extend to new or legacy products and processes.
* Provide leadership and oversight of critical supplier RCCA’s to ensure the corrective actions are timely, robust and effective.
* Collaborate with Customer and GBU personnel to assess and manage changes that could negatively impact quality risk levels; demonstrate a “Quality as a Value” mindset & behavior.
* Actively lead and participate in supplier risk assessments and audits. Ensure timely, effective audits and that findings are adequately addressed.
* Position will handle ITAR and NIST controlled documentation along with Customer proprietary information.

You will bring:
* BS in Engineering.
* Prefer 5 years working knowledge in a Quality capacity within the Aerospace environment.
* Working knowledge of AS-9100Rev D/ISO-9000:2015 Aerospace Quality Management systems; familiarity with NADCAP certification process (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) desired.
* Experience with APQP methods, tools and application desired.
* Working knowledge of Composite/Adhesives Unit Operations is desired.
* Must be a US citizen or have Permanent Resident status. Must be able to obtain a valid US Passport and pass a background check.
* Possess strong, pro-active leadership and project management skills to achieve results.
* Good oral and written communication skills – concise presentation, easy to read and understand standards and technical documents.
* Demonstrated experience in managing activity with large/key customers.
* Working knowledge of DMAIC problem solving including 8D and FMEA methods.
* Good computer skills including Google docs, MS Office, Statistical software, Minitab, etc.
Additional qualifications:
* BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
* Experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Experience working within a serial Automotive industry.
* Experience working or auditing to ISO 14001 standards.
* Understanding of composite materials testing – mechanical, chemical and physical.
* Working knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset composite chemistries.
* Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
