Divisional Communications Officer – East & West Midlands As a Divisional Communications Officer, your role will be to help spread the word and the key messages of the charity, to help best support the projects that they run for those that need it the most. Reporting into the Media Manager, you’ll work as part of a team to develop stories, campaigns and high-profile media events. This role is supporting colleagues across the East & West Midlands. The role: Promoting the work of the charity across the media and digital media channels. Identify, research and write up case studies for use in the media to highlight the great work being done. Build and maintain strong working relationships with Divisional Leaders across all sections within the charity. Help to provide communications advice to Divisional Leaders on any complex or sensitive communication issues, with the support of the Head of Communications and PR. Deliver charity news stories across regional and local media. Help deliver National media campaigns. Providing stories and articles for the intranet. Helping to support the out of hours media rota as and when required Skills & Experience Required: A proven track record in a media relations role, ideally within a large complex organisation or the charity sector. Excellent experience in producing high-quality content to be shared across all digital channels and social media platforms. Strong researching skills to help source content to help create briefings, materials and case studies for the media and to help with fundraising. Experience in being able to generate wide media coverage to support campaigns. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, build strong relationships to help with collaborative working projects. Brand and reputation management experience. Media strategy knowledge. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.
