Salary Range: Circa £50,000 depending on experience + red hot benefits
Location: UK Hybrid, whilst aspects of this role can be carried out virtually, some travel throughout the UK should be expected.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative People Planner to join the People Strategy, Systems, and Insight team. As a People Strategy Planner, you will play a key role in driving our People Strategy forward. You’ll clearly communicate our plans to a wide range of internal stakeholders, measure our performance and influence senior leader decision making. You’ll work with our internal teams to shape the go-forward plans, manage competing priorities, and ensure we’re meeting deadlines along the way. This person will hold senior stakeholders to account and run our governance forums.
What you'll be doing
* Strategic Portfolio Management: assess and track performance, manage dependencies/interdependencies and influence decision making. Ensure our database of strategic projects is up to date, providing a clear overview of project progress. Collaborate with all HR & Comms teams to maintain accurate and timely information.
* Governance and Coordination: Manage governance arrangements for people strategy, including coordinating updates for our monthly governance forum, taking minutes, and ensuring actions are completed.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Influence: evaluate demand requests for HR support and engage with relevant stakeholders to facilitate decision making.
* Communication and Presentation: Create clear short and longer term delivery roadmaps and present the key messages to relevant teams, with a clear view of outcomes.
* Performance Tracking: Support our FTE and cost management by tracking and reporting activity across the business, working closely with HR Business Partners to understand movements.
* Best Practice: Distil industry best practice relating to our people priorities and present opportunities for VMUK to consider.
* Monitor and update performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the people agenda.
* Planning and Reporting: Work on the HR & Comms annual and quarterly planning cycles, aligned to budget, investment, and project initiatives.
* Support VM’s annual Strategy Planning process from an HR&Comms perspective.
* Support the Head of People Strategy, Systems and Insight with ad hoc updates and reporting to senior leaders.
We need you to have
* Understanding of HR and people practices.
* Experience managing complex portfolio of work during periods of change, ideally experience of integration.
* Highly organised and proven record of managing a large complex agenda.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and hold them to account.
* Outcome focused, with the ability to measure progress and evaluate the impact of projects.
* Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
* Proven ability to prioritise, and work in an environment where the plan changes dynamically.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Appreciates sensitivities and operates with appropriate discretion.
* Strong intellect and general management skills.
* Ability to interpret workforce metrics and insights.
