An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and Northampton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as our Group Head of Procurement. This is a new role combining the Head of Procurement responsibilities at both organisations.
The successful candidate will lead the groups total non-pay procurement of over £230m. This is one of the largest procurement portfolios of any combined Mental Health and Community Trust.
You will be an integral part of both Trusts Finance and Procurement teams, reporting to and assuring each Trusts Deputy Director of Finance. You will become the face of procurement across the Group and regularly provide updates to both Boards., The post holder will have a group role managing the procurement departments of both Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) and Northampton Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT). They will provide a full specialist service to the Trusts and associated customers, including provision of technical guidance, operational guidance and advice on strategic sourcing, tendering and contracting to all relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all legal requirements and obligations are met.
The post has budget holder and full staff management responsibility for the two procurement teams and will be responsible for managing and delegating the procurement work plan and they will also lead any transformation work across both of the procurement teams, considering differing procedures, HR policies and financial requirements.
The successful candidate will work to ensure synergies are gained from our group relationship and they will consider how best to support joint working across the teams.
The role will have considerable input in in how both organisations manage and spend a total group non-pay budget of over £230m and in addition they will be responsible for all procured spend within this budget.
