Your objectives: As the Business Development Director, you will be measured against the following objectives: Achieve financial sales and revenue targets through effective account management and business development.
Lead and grow key client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and identifying areas for expansion.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategic account plans that align with organisational objectives.
What you will do: As the Business Development Director, your duties and responsibilities will include: · Developing and executing account plans, conducting regular account reviews, and identifying growth opportunities.
· Collaborating with internal teams to drive organic growth within key client accounts.
· Taking accountability for the submission and conversion of tailored proposals to address client needs.
· Leading proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract review processes.
· Conducting client pitch presentations, account reviews, and webinars to strengthen the organisation’s profile.
· Attending targeted industry conferences to identify leads and grow strategic partnerships.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients to exceed satisfaction and revenue targets.
· Providing insights into emerging trends and recommending new services to drive business growth.
· Monitoring financial performance and ensuring account profitability and cost-effectiveness.
What you will bring: These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Business Development Director: · Proven experience in account management or business development within a CRO or pharmaceutical services organisation.
· Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business administration, or a related field.
· Demonstrated success in building client relationships, driving revenue, and achieving growth targets.
· Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strategic and analytical thinker with a proven ability to develop and implement business strategies.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Willingness to travel as required.
