Role Responsibilities
15. You will be interacting with members of the public, staff, patients, and have the capacity to act with integrity and honesty while treating people with respect in challenging situations.
16. Managing access control – for employees, visitors, patients, and contractors.
17. To ensure that anyone who is not a member of staff, or a patient has the correct credentials and has an appointment to be entering the hospital
18. Ask all visitors to sign in and issue them with keys and passes as appropriate.
19. To answer all incoming calls to reception via the Switchboard and to ensure these are responded to politely and efficiently.
20. To provide an on-site and off-site alarm response service.
21. To support and manage clinically related challenging behaviour.
22. To complete comprehensive incident reports and associated assignment documentation.
23. To liaise with Police as required for incident management.
24. To provide escort duties if and when required.
25. To provide general assistance to all staff, visitors and patients in a courteous and professional manner
26. The operation of all car parking systems including barrier management and first line response fault fixing, issuing of petty cash and the collections of takings and receipts.
27. Report building and equipment defects to ensure remedial action is taken.
28. To manage the collection and delivery service for internal and external mail, parcels, supplies, pharmacy items.
29. To conduct searches of incoming post and mail in line with the Company’s security search protocols.
Role Requirements
30. A valid SIA licence – Door Supervisor Licence
31. Document to prove eligibility to work within the UK if applicable
32. SIA CCTV Licence is not essential but useful
33. Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
34. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
35. Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
36. Be confident working in a hospital environment and be aware that you may come in contact with people who are unwell, vulnerable, or showing signs of distress
37. To be able to undertake Physical intervention training
38. To undertake any internal training required to adhere to the Company’s search protocols.

39. We have two positions, one full time and one part time
40. You will be covering hours between 6.30am – 10.00pm.
