A successful principle contractor has a great opportunity for an Operations Manager with the remit to oversee their £60m business to ensure its future commercial success.
The business focusses on JCT and traditional refurbishment projects within an array of sectors such as heritage, church, education and health.
With this integral and important position you will report to the board and manage a team of Contracts Managers. Your brief will be to manage and coordinate projects with the objective of delivering them commercially to programme and budget.
Operationally, you be responsible for the effective management of site resources to achieve maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness on these refurbishment projects, which range from £500k - £8m. You will have the ability to react quickly to challenging situations with a hands on and commercial approach.
Your brief will include:
• Estimating / Budgets
• Programming and planning input
• Client negotiations
• Tender interviews
• Cost value reconciliation budgets / reports
• Procurement schedules
• Risk and reward schedules
• Design and build change cost advise
• Subcontract, internal and external project meetings
