If you are passionate about designing and optimizing data models to enable efficient data processing, analytics, and reporting, we would love to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored to cloud-based platforms. Data Architecture: Create and manage artifacts like entity-relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and schemas. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, data architects, and developers to align data models with business objectives. Optimization: Work with cloud data platform architects and engineers to ensure models are optimized for performance, scalability, and usability. Standards & Best Practices: Enforce or adhere to data modeling standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy in representation. Technical Knowledge: Leverage expertise in cloud data services (e.g., S3 object stores, data lakes, Lakehouse, and data warehouses) and methodologies (e.g., ER, Dimensional modeling, Data Vault 2.0). Communication: Present and negotiate data model designs and trade-offs with stakeholders effectively. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 8–12 years of hands-on experience in data modeling and database design. Expertise: Proficient in SQL (mandatory). Familiarity with tools like Hive and Impala (preferred). Strong understanding of data modeling methodologies and cloud platforms. Knowledge of data quality and governance principles. Bonus: Experience with DevOps practices, version control systems, and data warehousing.
