In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, and providing top-notch support to our users.
As an IT Support Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and network management to troubleshoot issues, implement new solutions, and contribute to the overall efficiency and security of our IT systems. We are seeking a motivated individual who has experience working in a varied helpdesk capacity from 1st to 3rd line, to be on-site, based in the "square mile” City of London area.
You will be a good communicator, technically proficient and be able to provide a white glove service to our user base with regard to technology and IT infrastructure.
You may also be called upon to provide guidance and technical expertise during design, selection, implementation, as well as technology selection.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (M365), and network-related issues.
* Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
* Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
* Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
* Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and reliability.
* Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and implement new solutions.
* Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
* Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, networking, and storage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and support.
* Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are a plus.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central advantageous.
