Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Reset Merchandiser Partners perform merchandising resets and small fixture installations supporting new store construction and store remodels. Store fixture installations include floor fixtures and other store display equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for compliance with all safety program requirements; Store Inventory Management (SIM) and POG SOPs.
2. Ability to decipher plans/prints.
3. Projects involve dismantling, assembly, and placement of a wide variety of retail fixtures. Build specialty merchandising units, stands, and displays.
4. Extensive profiling of bays and sections, including shelving and accessories.
5. Fixture Installation (Pallet Racking, Gondola, etc.):
1. Ensure fixture plans are set by blueprints for new and remodeled stores and merchandise is set by planogram.
2. Follow-up as needed with Company on construction, electrical, plumbing, or painting.
3. Ensure vendor fixtures have been ordered and merchandise set up within the required time frame.
4. Ensure fixtures are cleaned or painted as necessary. Cleaning of shelves, arrangement, and placement of products on the shelves in accordance with blueprints and plan-o-grams.
5. Restock account inventories by moving product from back rooms to cold boxes, displays, and warm shelves in assigned accounts; must follow Code Date Policy and ensure rotation of product.
6. Maintain product placement schematic integrity while managing re-merchandising projects including grand openings and remodels.
6. Conduct POG Audits.
7. Use technology to connect electronic shelf tags.
8. Customer Service:
1. Greet customers.
2. Guide them to the right section depending on their needs.
9. Cover stores outside of designated territory on an as-needed basis and/or vacation coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS
1. Entry level individual contributor position providing service or support in a hands-on environment supporting daily business activities.
2. Must have the ability to work with crews during reset/remodel, meeting time expectations while maintaining work quality and safety. Prior construction experience a plus.
3. High School, Vocational, or Associate's Degree preferred.
4. 0-6 months of experience in all aspects of fixture installation, including large gondola-type fixtures and other store fixtures such as showcases, floor fixtures, wall fixtures, overhead signage, and graphics, and cash-wraps.
5. Experience desired includes home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacy, planograms, national rollouts, remodel, gondola, new stores, and experience with national racking standards and Gondola/Retail Fixture installation and deep understanding of merchandising.
6. Ability to move fixtures on wheels.
7. An understanding of floor plans and fixture placement drawings.
8. Read and understand directions and instructions on smartphones or tablets.
9. Works under direct supervision on routine tasks and follows standard procedures with very little independent judgement.
10. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to any US work location.
11. Must have knowledge of and the ability to use hand tools including power tools.
12. Must be able to work evenings and weekends and be out of town for extended periods of time if the work requires.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Ability to lift up to 86 pounds, reach, climb ladders, stand, bend, pull, push, twist, and kneel.
2. Work in hot/cold environments.
3. Must be able to travel.
4. Must possess a personal vehicle, tools, and a checking account for direct deposit of pay.
5. Must own a smartphone or tablet with a minimum 2GB monthly data service plan and the device needs to be no more than 2 OS versions behind the latest.
