Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Innovation Engineer – Hexcel Early Career Program for our Duxford, UK location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Ensure the safety of self and others at all times as a priority over any other business need. Contribute to innovative projects aligned with MIT and wider R&T strategy with support from the line manager. Planning and performing experiments, developing and testing prototype apparatus, procurement and coordination with applicable vendors. Follow procedures and reporting requirements for projects in which they are involved. Undertake training activities to ensure continuous personal development and implement Hexcel Standards. Regular reporting and communication of results. Contribute to Manufacturing Innovation Technology team goals and objectives. Contribute to EH&S and 5S activities as required. Qualifications: Science or Engineering background evidenced by university qualifications or relevant experience. Evidenced practical/experimental skills; able to set up an experiment or trial and generate relevant, high-quality data in support of conclusions. Ability to organize self, plan workload effectively and allocate resources as priorities require. The following skills are desirable; however, training and development opportunities will be provided where necessary: automation/control systems, mechanical design, electrical design, composites manufacturing and materials knowledge.
