Our client is looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their ever growing residential team.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a significant role in managing costs and budgets throughout the process of the construction project.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record of success
Excellent knowledge of cost management principles and practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Must have Residential Developer experienceResponsibilities:
Cost control and reporting
Contract administration
Procurement and tendering
Risk management
Valuations
Payments
Site meetings, project team meetings, subcontractor meetings, surveying meetings as required
Working closely with contractors, suppliers and clients
Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorisation for passing payments for all elements of subcontractor works.
Carry out pre-order meetings including all necessary Health & Safety requirements, finalising a tender sum and agreeing a stage payment schedule for payment purposes before preparing all contract documentation and placing the order
