Job Description Job Description Title: Commercial Sales and Estimating Manager Reports to: Commercial Director Salary: 50-65k Location: High Wycombe Purpose of the Role: Lead and manage the Estimating Team to secure projects that align with company targets, ensuring accuracy and effective risk management. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: • Team Leadership: Oversee the Estimating Team, providing training and support to enhance skills and performance. • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and clients that meet departmental criteria. • Client Relations: Maintain and support relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business. • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the Marketing Department to develop and implement effective marketing strategies. • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality. • Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys for refurbishment projects, providing detailed information to estimators for accurate quoting. • Quotation Accuracy: Ensure all quotations are accurate and adhere to the company's pricing structures and margins. • Pre-Contract Engagement: Attend pre-contract meetings and deliver presentations as required. • Pipeline Management: Oversee the project pipeline and provide regular, comprehensive sales reports to the Commercial Director. • CRM Utilization: Use the CRM platform to record project-related information and consider future CRM and estimating software enhancements. • Negotiation Support: Assist estimators in converting quotes to orders through effective negotiation. • Contract Review: Examine contract documents to ensure they reflect the details of our quotations. • Project Handover: Conduct project handover meetings with the Operations Team to ensure seamless transitions. • Additional Tasks: Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the company. Personal Specification: Essential: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Broad technical knowledge relevant to the industry. • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude. • Ability to work independently without supervision. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Willingness to travel as needed. Preferable: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction and/or aluminium glazing industry.
