Job Summary
Our dedicated team is seeking to recruit a full time, band 7 psychological therapist. We welcome applicants interested in perinatal mental health and wishing to develop specialist knowledge and practice in this rewarding field.
The team are a county wide service currently operating from a number of bases in the East and West of the county and involves some opportunities for remote working.
Main duties of the job
We are a countywide service, committed to improving the well-being of parents and their babies. We offer assessment and treatment to women with moderate to severe mental health difficulties who are either pregnant or within the first post-natal year (currently increasing to 24 months). You will be joining an established psychology team, consisting of clinical psychologists, parent-infant therapists and assistant psychologists. You shall be supported to delivering formulation based and NICE recommended psychological interventions. This post would be suitable for anyone interested in models of adult mental health (such as CBT, systemic family therapy, IPT and CAT), transgenerational patterns of trauma, attachment, and infant mental health.
You shall contribute to the supervision, consultation and training of the MDT who consist of highly skilled and psychologically minded professionals and include perinatal mental health nurses, a psychiatrist, nursery nurses, peer support workers, a social worker, and an occupational therapist. Our team have very good working relationships with a wide range of primary and secondary care professionals, including midwives, health visitors, CAMHS and adult mental health services across Suffolk.

Role Summary
* Contribute to the provision of the Psychological Therapy Services within NSFT.
* Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, carrying a caseload of clients.
* Receive regular supervision in line with the Trust Policies and responsible for management of own caseload and ensuring high standards of care are maintained in line with Trust policies and professional codes of practice.
* Supervision and consultancy to other mental health professionals and involved in the development of Psychological Therapy provision within the locality as appropriate.
* Accountable for accurate mental health clustering of all patients in caseload on admission, discharge and at review meetings.
* Ensure all mental health clustering information is passed onto other Trust teams or services on transfer of patients.
* Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and quality of mental health clustering activity within the team.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
* Health or Social Care professional qualification RMN, Dip OT, Degree or equivalent in Social Work or equivalent
* Postgraduate diploma in CBT or CAT or family therapy or equivalent
Experience Essential
* Documentary evidence of continuing professional development
* Group work in mental Health
* Training and ability to deliver other therapeutic approaches e.g. DBT, EMDR, IPT
Other Essential
* Accreditation with BABCP or ACAT
* Willingness to share skills, experience and thus promote patient care
* Able to travel independently
