The Project Engineer is responsible for the individual management of mechanical and electrical schemes and maintenance activities to the highest possible standard of quality, efficiency and with minimal wastage. To ensure a provision of a safe working environment for all colleagues.
The Overall Role
1. Ensure that all works are scoped with the client on-site using relevant resources.
2. Provide technical knowledge on the repair, refurbishment or replacement of equipment and plant.
3. Ensure that estimates are completed on time in line with service level agreements.
4. Attend internal launch/scope meetings with associated departments.
5. Develop, implement and monitor the pre-construction process plan.
6. Attend external start-up, site visit and design meetings.
7. Arrange and attend technical meetings with clients, consultants and sub-contractors.
8. Manage agreed resources, budget, scope and program with the site service team.
9. Produce commissioning plans in conjunction with the site services team.
10. Ensure documentation is in place for handover and sign-off.
11. Ensure H&S documentation is in place.
Although the position is office-based, there will be some travel involved with the position to sites across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
