Project Engineer - Quality Control - Water Asset Management
RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer - Quality Control to join our Asset Inspections Business. This key role supports, delivers, and builds upon our frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland.
About You:
You will be a vital member of the Asset Inspections team, responsible for ensuring quality control and assurance on Water and Wastewater Projects, adhering to industry standards and client guidance. Your duties include supporting inspection phases, documenting findings, and implementing best practices to uphold quality and consistency. Collaboration with project teams and clients to resolve issues and foster continuous improvement is essential.

Your Responsibilities:
* Support asset inspection programs with thorough reviews and reporting.
* Oversee quality control to ensure standards and client expectations are met.
* Ensure compliance with guidance documents and industry standards.
* Maintain organized documentation of inspections and lessons learned.
* Support and train inspection teams for high performance.
* Communicate with clients regarding quality and compliance issues.
* Identify and implement process improvements.
* Attend sites as needed to support inspections.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience in the water sector, especially asset inspections and quality control.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Based ideally in the central belt.
* Experience in high-risk environments and modern inspection methods (e.g., UAVs, LIDAR, GIS).
* Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
* Effective communication skills.
* Goal-oriented with performance management experience.
* Proficient in MS Office and work management systems.
* Reliable and flexible.
Qualifications:
* A relevant degree is desirable; significant experience may suffice.
* Full UK driving license is essential.
