About the Role:
* Provide1:1 supportfor a learner withSEND needs.
* Tailor support to meet theindividual’s EHCP goals, ensuring they are fully engaged in learning and making progress.
* Implementdifferentiated learning strategies, breaking down tasks to make them accessible and achievable.
* Usepositive reinforcement and behaviour management techniquesto support emotional regulation and engagement.
* Assist withsensory needs, including implementing movement breaks and using sensory resources where appropriate.
* Fostera trusting relationship, acting as a key point of support and encouragement.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure aholistic approachto learning.
* Providepersonal care supportwhere required (training can be provided).
About You:
* Experience working withSEND learnersin an educational, residential, or care setting.
* Understanding ofASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
* Ability todifferentiate tasksand useengaging strategiesto support learning.
* Strong behaviour management skills with acalm and patientapproach.
* Knowledge ofcommunication aids, such as visual timetables and PECS, is beneficial.
* A team player who can collaborate with staff and external professionals.
* Safeguarding knowledgeand an understanding of the importance of keeping learners safe.
