Description
Working in one of our motor teams in our Bolton office, the role of 'Paralegal' is to undertake a variety of data gathering and information recording activities, on behalf of the File Handling team in order to help facilitate the rapid settlement of cases and the closure of files.
This is an entry-level role offering an opportunity to kickstart a legal career. Many of our Paralegals progress to handling files in their own right. It's a great role for someone with the confidence to communicate effectively with the team, customers, and clients.

Key Accountabilities
As a Paralegal, your role will be to carry out administrative type tasks in order to help the file handlers within your team progress their files effectively and efficiently. Tasks include updating our in-house computer/case management system, drafting routine court documents, liaising with other professionals, follow-up/chaser calls, making payment requests, as well as undertaking minor investigations on liability and quantum to provide basic information to the file handlers.
Tasks and responsibilities will increase as you gain confidence and competence in the role in order to help your own career progress (full training will be provided).
Working Hours:
35 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm. This is a hybrid role working 1 day in the office (Thursday) and 4 days from home.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
* Has strong organisational skills, together with the ability to prioritise their workload
* Is able to effectively work to set deadlines
* Is a confident and effective communicator, able to liaise with individuals over the phone
* Has a passion and desire to work in a law environment
* Has some previous experience that can demonstrate the above; this does not need to be a legal setting
