Job Title: Sales Manager – Distribution (Pipes, Fittings & Valves) Location: Seaham Salary: £60 000 Bonus Car Benefits Overview A market-leading distributor of specialist pipework systems is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a team of Business Development Managers across the UK. With a focus on thermoplastic piping systems, this role covers a technical product range supplied into critical environments across the water treatment, chemical, and fire protection sectors. This is a high-impact leadership position suited to someone with deep distribution experience, a technical mindset, and the ability to drive commercial performance through a national team. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support a team of Business Development Managers covering defined UK regions Drive sales growth through installers, M&E contractors, Installation Partners and End Users. Support the team on technical sales of pipes, fittings, valves, flow control systems, and installation tooling Collaborate with internal teams including procurement, logistics, and technical support to ensure smooth customer delivery Take ownership of sales forecasting, target setting, and CRM usage across the team Attend site visits, project meetings, and industry events to support sales strategy Play a key role in strategic planning and commercial direction across target sectors What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years' experience managing sales teams within a distribution environment Strong technical knowledge of pipes, fittings, valves, ideally thermoplastics or specialist piping systems Proven track record selling into water treatment, chemical processing, and/or fire protection markets Commercially astute, hands-on leader with strong coaching and mentoring skills Comfortable working cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, product, and technical teams Willing to travel nationally to support team performance and key projects What’s on Offer Competitive base salary bonus structure Company car Private healthcare & pension Supportive, technically driven culture with genuine long-term progression
