We are looking for an empathetic and skilled EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) Tutor to join our team in Buckinghamshire.
Position: EBSA Tutor
Location: Buckinghamshire (Flexible locations within the area)
Hours: Full-time or part-time (flexible hours)
Rate of Pay: £20–£30 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Work one-on-one with students who are struggling with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
* Assess individual student needs, identify areas of challenge, and develop tailored lesson plans.
* Create a supportive, patient, and positive learning environment to help build students' confidence and reduce anxiety.
* Provide ongoing support and encouragement, fostering emotional well-being and academic progress.
* Develop and implement strategies to support students both academically and emotionally, helping them to re-engage with their learning.
* Monitor progress and adjust learning plans as required, ensuring the needs of each student are met effectively.
About You:
* You have experience working with students who experience low confidence or anxiety, especially those with EBSA.
* You are patient, understanding, and capable of building strong, trusting relationships with young people.
* You have excellent communication skills and can adapt your approach to suit the individual needs of each student.
* You have a proven ability to plan and tailor sessions effectively, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
* Previous experience in education, tutoring, or working with vulnerable students is desirable.
