Job Description
As an Azure and O365 Operations engineer in a financial services company, your primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the company's cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform, Office 365 services and Citrix Cloud environment. Your role involves ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the cloud-based applications and productivity tools used in the domain.
Key responsibilities are:
Monitoring and Maintenance
1. Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues within the Azure/O365 environment to ensure system stability and performance.
2. Ensure security compliance by implementing and maintaining security protocols and compliance measures.
Project Management and Documentation
3. Plan and execute projects to upgrade and improve key IT systems as directed by IT management.
4. Produce and maintain technical documentation and project plans (SOPs/Procedures).
Technical Support and Expertise
5. Manage Azure Operations ticket queue daily (Requests & Incident management)
6. Provide 2nd&3rd line technical support for complex issues.
7. Mentor and provide technical expertise to L0/L2 IT support staff.
Automation and Scripting
8. Identify and implement automation solutions for IT tasks using workflows and scripting tools (PowerShell).
Infrastructure Management/knowledge
9. Administer, manage and configure within multiple infrastructure platforms (Azure, M365, Citrix).
10. In-depth understanding of Azure/0365 technology including but not limited to Exchange, Licensing, Security, Endpoint management, Networking.
Qualifications
11. Bachelor's/Associates degree in computer engineering. Computer science, relevant professional Microsoft accreditations (AZ-900, AZ-104, SC-300, MS-700) or relevant years of experience.
12. ITIL Certified
13. 5 years of experience working within IT systems/Support in a senior/lead capacity with the last few years working with Cloud Technologies.
14. Been in a senior technical role or in a position showing level of architecting new solution into the work environment

15. Proficiency in all aspects of Azure (specifically O365 Admin consult), with an active interest to keep skills updated,
16. Involvement in rollouts from selection to go live.
