Job Description
The English and Maths GCSE SEMH Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised and small group tutoring sessions to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The tutor will create tailored lesson plans, deliver engaging and interactive lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians. Additionally, the tutor will collaborate with school staff to support student learning and development.
Minimum Requirements
* A relevant teaching qualification
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
* A degree in Education or related field
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEMH needs
* Strong understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
* Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
* Proficient in assessing student progress and providing feedback
* Additional qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN)
* Experience in working in a school setting
Working Environment
The English and Maths GCSE SEMH Tutor will work in a learner's home environment, providing tutoring sessions during school hours. The role may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate student schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
