HR Generalist - Hybrid Hybrid - 2 days per week on-site in Cambridge, England This role involves delivering comprehensive HR support across the entire employee lifecycle. Ideal for an HR professional passionate about technology-driven environments, you will collaborate closely with the Head of the AI Centre and Lead Professors to ensure the effective implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices, fostering consistency across the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete HR lifecycle, including onboarding, flexible work requests, and maternity, paternity, and adoption processes. Ensure the accurate and timely administration of HR systems and records while implementing policies, procedures, and communication strategies for the employee lifecycle. Advise senior stakeholders on various HR issues, offering expert guidance. Provide support to managers, team leaders, and employees regarding HR policies and practices. Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on operational activities. Support line managers in fostering strong performance management practices. Stay updated on HR legislation and employment law to ensure compliance. Promote positive employee relations and effectively resolve workplace issues. Provide input on local practices to align activities and support the implementation of key HR projects. Key Skills and Experience Proven experience as an HR Generalist or Senior HR Advisor in a commercial HR department, with expertise in local employment law and best practices. Background in IT or high-tech industries. Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Analytical and creative thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to solve problems laterally and articulate ideas effectively. High level of presentation, planning, and communication skills. Experience thriving in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while managing competing priorities. A collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining accuracy under pressure. Familiarity with immigration and visa requirements. Practical, hands-on mindset with the ability to address inter-departmental needs efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
