Department: Front of House Location: Croydon Compensation: £26,936 / year Description Receptionist and Business Centre Support £26,936 - £14ph East Croydon We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and efficient receptionist who is ready to move into a role will additional business centre support responsibilities. The office is ideally located, with coffee shops, Box Park and East Croydon station just a short walk away. You will relish a challenge and be highly organised, managing access procedures, contractors and couriers, whilst supporting the business centre manager to build a vibrant community in the serviced offices. You should be well presented with proven experience and confident to take ownership of this busy and varied role. Salary: £26,936 (37 hours pw) £14ph Hours: Monday – 8.30am – 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday – 10.30am – 5.30pm Key Responsibilities Provide a front of house reception service, with additional responsibilities, which will include: Reception and building operations Own and enhance the reception area to reflect our high standards, providing a warm welcome to the Business Centre Manage all front-of-house tasks including couriers, post, calls, and deliveries, ensuring efficient operations Build strong relationships with tenants, agents, and contractors to maintain an immaculately presented space and resolve issues swiftly Enhance tenant experience through local knowledge, regular communication via e-newsletters, and additional services like discounts and amenities If applicable, organise promotional events to support local businesses and community engagement General management and support Assist in marketing strategies, tenant onboarding, and community activities to ensure an active tenant community Provide operational and administrative support, including mail handling, booking meeting rooms, and financial operations assistance - invoicing and managing tenant defaults Maintain the business centre's aesthetic standards and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation Support in attracting new tenants, managing inquiries and viewings, and participating in networking events to raise the business centre's profile Additional tenant experience Prepare a local amenities file, becoming an expert on local knowledge Create an e-newsletter and communicate regularly with tenants (as required) Support and/or research and introduce social engagement services as appropriate and agreed e.g. Fitness Clubs, Networking, Sustainability, Negotiate tenant discount freebies at; local shops, restaurants, gym etc Organise / assist in promotional events; Pop up markets – supporting local businesses as appropriate – eg Christmas and summer activities etc. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven experience in a premium front-of-house role with a customer-focused approach Immaculate presentation with engaging, welcoming personality Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating at all levels Strong time-management, administration skills, and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and proficient in PC/Microsoft packages, Apple Mac Flexible, proactive, with a team spirit and a can-do attitude Knowledge in building/facilities management is advantageous Benefits Company pension Referral programme Wellness scheme, including a 24-hour confidential helpline and on line GP Company events
