Job Title: Integrated Management System (IMS) Auditor
Position: Contract
Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater
Duration: CED 31/12/2024 rolling 12 months thereafter
Day Rate: £180 - £210 per day = £47-£55k +36 days holiday
Job Overview: As the IMS Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective deployment and continual improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS). You will lead internal audits to evaluate the robustness of IMS processes, adhering to established audit protocols and delivering against the annual audit schedule. Your mission is to uphold the highest standards of quality, with a paramount focus on nuclear safety, in accordance with Licence Condition 17.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a risk-based internal management system audit program to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with Environmental and Health and Safety functions to incorporate their inputs into the IMS Audit Schedule.
3. Coordinate a team of management system auditors, defining audit scopes, criteria, and objectives for each audit.
4. Conduct ad-hoc audits to address urgent operational needs.
5. Plan audits effectively, engaging stakeholders and auditors.
6. Categorise findings accurately and produce detailed audit reports within agreed timelines.
7. Monitor process non-conformance and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
8. Analyse audit results to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the continual enhancement of the IMS.
9. Liaise with IMS Engineers to facilitate review by Certification Body Assessors.
10. Foster knowledge-sharing and learning opportunities among auditor resources to enhance project capability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: IRCA Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015), experience in multidisciplinary project environments applying ISO standards.
Desirable: Large-scale infrastructure project experience, previous work in regulated environments (nuclear), membership in Chartered Quality Institute or IRCA, familiarity with integrated management systems and independent oversight/audit roles.

Additional Information:
This role operates within the Quality Governance Team of the Quality Directorate. Occasional travel to the HPC construction site in Somerset may be required. The position reports to the IMS & Audit Lead. Remote working arrangements may be agreed upon in advance. Safety is our top priority, and all activities must adhere to safety protocols at all times.
