GSL Education Southampton Branch are searching for an enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Fareham. If you are patient, motivated, and prepared to begin right away, we would love to hear from you!
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable classroom support, work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in education, with full-time and part-time positions available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
* Help teachers prepare lessons and set up fun classroom activities.
* Provide one-on-one support to students who need a little extra help.
* Work with students with special needs to ensure everyone feels included.
* Keep track of how students are doing and share that with teachers.
* Encourage good behaviour and help create a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
* Supervise students during lunch and breaks to keep them safe and happy.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
* A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
* Any relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential.

* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
