Department As Staff Administrator you will work as part of a busy, friendly, team which supports all staff within two academic departments and a teaching centre. Working in our modern Campus East offices, you will be expected to operate independently and as part of a wider team. You would be required to work on-campus for the majority of the working week in order to liaise with staff and visitors and to provide effective in-person support on a variety of administrative tasks. The Department offers some flexibility around working hours and operates on a flexi time basis; some hybrid working can be accommodated following a successful probation period. Role Working to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties. These will include but are not limited to: supporting recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding members of staff, answering queries relating to HR, finance, Health and Safety, basic IT and building management issues. You will support meetings and committees and will also be required to support the preparation and delivery of events. The ability to communicate to a high standard both verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences including academic staff and visitors to the Department is essential. A further requirement will be for you to be welcoming and approachable, whilst able to maintain a professional and informed stance relating to policies and processes applied in the workplace.
