We are seeking a compassionate and organised Personal Assistant (PA) to provide support to Richard, assisting him with daily activities and health management. Richard has complex health conditions that require regular support and understanding. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, adaptable, and proactive in helping Richard manage his appointments, daily routines, and health needs.
Role Overview: The role involves providing Richard with 21 hours of support per week, broken down as follows:
• Monday to Thursday (4 hours/day): Assist with personal care, nutrition, medication, and household tasks. Support will also include organising Richard’s day, while monitoring his wellbeing and energy levels, which may fluctuate.
• Friday (3 hours): Support with planning and organising appointments, household tasks, and activities for the weekend and the upcoming week.
• Sunday (2 hours): Help promote social opportunities and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support with personal care, ensuring Richard’s needs are met while respecting his independence.
• Organise and manage daily routines, appointments, and activities.
• Ensure medication is taken on time and assist with nutrition.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Organise and attend medical appointments on Richard’s behalf.
• Support Richard in accessing social opportunities and the local community.
• Adapt support based on Richard’s wellbeing and energy levels, which can vary due to his health conditions.
• Provide assistance with mobility challenges and muscle stiffness.

Person Specification:
• Previous experience in personal care or PA support is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Flexible, empathetic, and proactive.
• Understanding of health conditions impacting daily living, particularly fatigue and mobility.
