Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
The Senior Analyst is a second-line role reporting to the Senior Manager – Credit Risk Model Development. The role will be responsible for providing technical expertise to design, develop and deliver Risk-owned Models across the Group. This role will be focussed on origination and IFRS9 models.
The primary areas of accountability include:
* Development, implementation, and monitoring of origination and IFRS9 models across the Group ensuring that models are compliant with Regulation and internal standards.
* Supporting the validation of non-Risk models, producing key findings and recommendations to inform decision-making at modelling forum.
To act as an ambassador of the Bank’s vision to; Back more people to go for it in life and in business.
What will your day look like?
You will report into the Senior Manager – Credit Risk Model Development, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations.
The role of Senior Analyst is important to us. In addition to the primary areas of accountability, your responsibilities will also include:
* Develop models that meet internal and regulatory standards, with strong documentation and adherence to timelines.
* Collaborate with internal data teams and credit bureaux to source and validate data for model development.
* Support model monitoring, validation, and implementation, ensuring timely issue resolution and compliance.
* Assist in annual model reviews and ensure adherence to all modelling policies and procedures.
What do we expect from you?
* Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical Risk modelling concepts into business language and produce high-quality reports to aid senior management understanding.
* Experience with data extraction, manipulation and analytics to support model development.
* Technical skills developed in a quantitative environment, with hands-on experience of credit risk model development within banking.
* Understanding of modelling methodologies and techniques as applied across a range of credit model types, e.g. credit decisioning, IFRS 9.
