Key accountabilities Ensure that outputs / standards are met in line with published PI Sheets Ensure product packing standards are met in line with PI Sheets and that all boxes are stamped. Ensure quality standards are met at all times Ensure all relevant date is captured on appropriate system (e.g. timesheet, scrap sheets, checks sheets) Ensure that you are using the correct equipment and you are fully trained. Ensure all waste products are separated into the correct bins and the team leader is notified of quantity and defects. Wherever possible ensure continuous improvement is undertaken Ensure you work and support others in a safe working environment, maintaining the working area clean and tidy at all times. Cover for moulding personnel during breaks, trainings and meetings if and when required Ensure product is assembled and packed in accordance with PI sheets Ensure product assembled and packed conforms to stated quality standards Select and print descriptive labels as per BOM to appropriate products / bags / carton, Complete quality checks (stress / vacuum test/ water test/ oven test and visual) at the start of a new order or twice a day. Transfer of data onto relevant systems IFS, Quality Database, Excel. The data to be recorded is production booking, QC checks, downtime, scrap and quality checks Book finished products onto the IFS system where a move ticket is generated, placed onto the palletised product Train new colleagues and provide them with instructions to perform their duties efficiently and safely In the absence of the Team Leader take responsibility for the team regarding safety, problem solving, task setting, priorities, accountabilities, performance management and communications. Organisation of team, equipment, paperwork, stock and general area, to meet customer demands for Assembly, Saws, Bagging machine, Second ops, in Team Leader’s absence. In the absence of TL Manager attend planning meeting, QC meeting or any other meeting that requires Assembly leadership presence. Actively participate and lead improvement activities such as Kaizen (continuous improvement) and 6S activities and demonstrate savings. Knowledge of H&S and Environmental requirements (SISI, incident reports etc) Drive company values and promote an environment of continuous improvement. Person Specification Able to assemble various manufactured products within a high demand environment High attention to detail Meets or exceeds output standards. Ability to use Manual Handling Equipment (FLT, Pivot steer, PPT) Reliable with good time keeping Willingness to train to use any other equipment if required Demonstrable experience leading the assembly teams day to day activities and workload Leadership knowledge and experience. Ability to use IFS or similar MRP systems Ability to use Microsoft office tools (excel, word, teams, outlook etc) Knowledge of 6S and other C.I. tools and experience running projects using these tools. Excellent communication skills.
