In this prestigious, Corporate Security Console Operator role, you will be ensuring the security and safety of premises and people in the offices of a high-profile financial institution.
An experienced Console Operator, with exceptional customer-focus, you will carry out a range of duties including:
• Receiving, evaluating, and logging calls from employees, contractors, law enforcement and members of the public.
• Monitoring and keeping building data and emergency contacts up to date.
• Supporting emergency building evacuations and other procedures throughout the EMEA area.
• Appropriately monitoring and responding to breaking news and other evolving world events. Escalating to the management team, coordinating, and supporting the response.
• Operate and monitor building access, alarms, CCTV, and environmental tracking system to identify and react to incidents as necessary. Reporting any faults or breakdown of equipment as required.
• Produce data tracking reports, i.e., card access swipe records, restricted access level reports, etc. as needed. Review CCTV as needed for investigative purposes.
• Creating, monitoring, and completing SWORD and other reports as required by company policy.
• Carry out any additional functions as required and as and when they arise.
• Maintaining records including incident reports using computer and paper-based systems.
Hours of work are 12 hours/day, on a 4 on/4 off pattern, covering days and nights. However, as part of a small team you will need to be flexible to support your colleagues. Overtime will be available as per manning requirements.
This position requires a dedicated security professional who is able to maintain high standards of performance, discipline and presentation, and to succeed you will also need:
• SIA Door Supervision (DS) and Public Space Surveillance (PSS/CCTV) licenses - essential
• A pro-active approach to security
• Experience working in Corporate Security
• Ability to work in a team that performs to high standards.
• Strong customer service skills and experience
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
• Good IT and administration skills
• Five years’ checkable history and references
• To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
