About the Principal Electronic Engineer Role
As Principal Electronic Engineer, you will carry out diagnostic and repair of electrical and electronic equipment and electromechanical systems, including down to PCB component level, along with providing technical expertise and advising internally and externally.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Designing electrical/electronic systems for upgrades, overcoming component obsolescence and integrating with third party equipment and systems
2. Assisting technically with the development and implementation of new products, services, equipment and systems
3. Completion of risk assessments, reports, documentation, and certificates
4. Technical input to sales to ensure the correct solution is offered/quoted
5. Safe, correct, and efficient preventive and routine maintenance of equipment and machinery
6. Correctly disassemble, inspect, clean, replace and re-assemble equipment and systems
7. Electromechanical system testing and commissioning
About You – Principal Electronic Engineer
As Principal Electronic Engineer, you will have a HND/degree in a suitable STEM subject, with the ability to interrogate and interpret electronic systems with no drawings or documents.
Other requirements include:
1. PCB and circuit/system design and specification for products, equipment and systems
2. Hardware requirements for embedded systems knowledge
3. Ability to design, create, read, interpret and act on electrical/electronic diagrams and schematics
4. Low voltage circuitry knowledge – PCB and wired systems
5. Control system logic knowledge
