Gaydon
JLR is harnessing technology to make driving smarter, safer, and cleaner. You can help create a world in which responsible, sustainable vehicles revolutionise the driving experience for generations. Our vision is to leverage the incredible potential of technology to build vehicles that not only offer a premium, all-encompassing digital experience but also make our customers' lives better.
What to Expect
Bring your unique talents to JLR’s Body Chassis Engineering, in which Data Analytics Chapter aims to empower engineers to make data-driven decisions by providing accessible, reliable data and delivering insightful analytics to squads across the organisation. The team develops methods and tools that leverage the data collected off Fleet and Customer vehicles, supporting improvements to Body/Chassis features and systems that will ensure an exceptional experience for JLR’s customers.
You will lead vehicle data collection for the team, overseeing vehicle data logging that drives analytics and insights into our engineering fleet. Working with engineering leads from various Body/Chassis disciplines, you will support the configuration of loggers for deployment to JLR fleet vehicles and verify the logger data collected.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Support the analytics team on technical aspects of network logs, ensuring the right signal data is collected for Body/Chassis systems or features.
2. Ensure data logging that supports the team’s analysis is functioning correctly on fleet vehicles, including some hands-on implementation if required.
3. Provide coaching on relevant data logging practices to the local team and wider department.
4. Work with cross-business instrumentation and logging teams to ensure efficiency and alignment with centralized work.
5. Develop solutions for data logging for fleet vehicles where requirements are not fulfilled by the generic logging equipment/applications available.
What You’ll Need
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with influencing and engagement skills.
2. Rounded engineering knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, diagnostics, and network architectures within Automotive.
3. Strong knowledge in networks and logging, both theoretically and hands-on.
4. Experience working in a delivery-focused environment.
